Yoga, Breathwork, and Somatic Healing for Modern Life

Body & Breath: A 5-Day Immersion

A structured immersion into breathing and yoga practices that help you feel more energised, capable, and at ease in your body.

So you return home with a method you can actually continue.

How you breathe and how you hold your body affects how you feel. Most of it goes unnoticed.

Breathing a little too fast. Carrying more tension than necessary. Moving in patterns that have become automatic.

Over time, this becomes your 'normal'.

This immersion brings attention back to something simple: how you breathe, how you hold your body, and how you use your energy.

The practices work synergistically.

The breath influences the body. The body affects the breath. Together, they shape the state of the mind.

When this is trained in a clear and structured way, change happens quickly and becomes usable.

What You Leave With

You leave with a clearer sense of how to:

• breathe more slowly and with greater ease
• release unnecessary tension in the body
• recognise when you are moving into stress
• regulate yourself through breath and posture
• feel more energised, capable, and at ease in your body

A practical method you can continue using in your daily life.

What You’ll Be Doing

Each day centres around a small number of practices, repeated and refined so they become clear and usable.

Pranayama
Simple, structured breathing practices that increase and harness energy, develop awareness and control of the breath,

Hatha Yoga and Posture
Movement and posture work to reduce unnecessary tension, improve how the body is aligned and to feel more whilst supporting more efficient breathing.

Functional Breathing
Exercises and breath holds to improve breathing efficiency, CO2 tolerance, and control.

Rest and Integration
Time is set aside each day to lie down, observe the body, and allow the practice to settle.

Optional
A hike is included during the week.
A beach trip is also available.
Transport can be arranged at an additional cost of €40 return.

How It Progresses

The retreat follows a clear progression. The same core practices are repeated and progressed and refined so they become usable.

It begins with awareness.
You start to notice how you breathe, how you hold your body, and where tension is held.

With practice, your breathing begins to slow.
You become more embodied, and let go of unnecessary effort.

You go home inspired and confident to continue.

Who This Is For

• you feel slightly out of rhythm, even if life looks fine on the surface

• you want to improve your breathing in a practical, usable way

• you are interested in working with the body, not just thinking about it

• you respond well to structure and consistent practice

• open to all levels, including those new to yoga and breathing practices

This May Not Be For You If

• you are looking for a purely passive or spa-style retreat

• you prefer a loose, unstructured schedule

• you want constant variety, entertainment, or lots of choice

The Setting

The retreat takes place on the edge of Cabo de Gata, one of the most remote and unspoiled stretches of coastline in Europe.

The landscape is raw and expansive, with volcanic rock formations, quiet coves, and open sea.

The venue is Finca del Alamo, a quiet and well designed space that supports the practice with simplicity and comfort.

All bedrooms and practice spaces are air conditioned, providing a comfortable environment throughout.
