What to expect

This weekend intensive will introduce students to the methodologies of traditional hatha yoga. Combining the approaches of Vipassana meditation with hatha yoga, Isaac draws on over 20 years experience to bring a methodology that is both challenging, introspective and transformative. Being a certified Wim Hof Method Instructor, Isaac guides his students through a unique combination of deep breath work and asana. The breathing method opens both body and mind, reduces the inflammatory markers, increases energy levels, and quietens the mind. The ideal preparation for entering the asana practice. The practice of Hatha yoga involves the practice of holding postures with delicate alignment suggestion whilst observing an easy natural breath. Thus the inwardly drawn perception can begin to allow the intelligence of the body to awaken the body and bring peace to the mind.

Though this Method is open to anybody, that is any “body” can do it, it will be challenging to everybody. This is because the practice emphasises the minds capacity to focus over the athletic ability of the body.

Day 1

1:00 - 1:45 (2.00pm start for Saturday Winchester Workshop) deep breath work

1:45 - 4:00 asana and bandha

4:00 - 4:30 break

4:30 - 6:00 flexibility enhancement (focusing on backbending)

Day 2

1:00 - 1:30 deep breath work

1:30 - 4:00 asana and bandha

4:00 - 4:30 break

4:30 - 6:00 flexibility enhancement (focusing on backbending)

Tube - Kensal Green under 10 minute walk.

Overground - Kensal Rise also under 10 minute walk.

Bus - Numbers 52 or 252 to Okehampton Road stop (6 minute walk from there). Number 187 stops right across the road from the Dojo.

Isaac is a wonderful teacher of great integrity - a true yogi. I attended his retreat in Goa and it was utterly transformative both physically and mentally. Isaac gives his absolute all on these retreats and generously shares his depth of knowledge of the practice with great patience and kindness. Like with all things you get out of it what you put in. I would strongly advise absorbing as much as you possibly can (it really is a gift) and following any suggestions. It’s a retreat that keeps on giving because you bring so much back home with you. I’ll definitely be a repeat offender
